Metropolit, 32, has played in 57 games for Atlanta this season, recording 28 points on 12 goals and 16 assists. The 6-0, 195-pound forward has played in a total of 160 NHL games, amassing 22 goals and 53 assists while playing for the Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and Atlanta.
The picks that St. Louis received in return include Atlanta's first and third round draft choices in 2007, and a second round draft choice in 2008. In addition, if Atlanta re-signs Tkachuk, the Blues will acquire a first-round draft selection in 2008.
