04/14/2007 - East Rutherford, NJ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New York Giants Friday signed free agents defensive tackle Marcus Bell and defensive back Michael Stone.

Bell, 28, posted a career-best 52 tackles in 2006 prior to going on the injured list in mid-December with a broken bone in his hand. He has played in 86 total games, 21 of which were starts, with 165 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks.

A fourth-round draft pick by Arizona in 2001, Bell played three seasons for the Cardinals before spending the last three in Detroit.

Stone, 29, had a career-high 17 special teams tackles with Arizona in 2004, and matched that mark the following year for New England.

Stone was selected by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2001 draft. He spent four years in Arizona before going to New England in 2005 and Houston last season.
